Vanity Fair Cover Shows A Big Time Problem In Hollywood

ARTICLE FROM vanityfair.com (Full story click here)

“One Man’s Opinion” by Gordon Curvey

Take a look at the pic folks. Do you see a problem here? I do. I do not see any ladies of color in this pic of the future of Hollywood.

Why was this pic made and put on the cover with zero African American ladies or ladies of color? Is this the true pic of Hollywood or what?

I see a problem here readers. Did the editors of Vanity Fair think before they printed this magazine with  no ladies of color? I do not think so. This bothers me.

Also check this out. If you watch Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, Extra, The Insider, you will see very little stories about African Americans. If you think I am wrong, WATCH TONIGHT. It will back up my what I am saying. Their will be little to zero stories about African Americans on the programs.

What in the world is going on with these programs and what is going on in Hollywood? Are African American ladies (and males) getting the “juicy” parts to play in Hollywood? The answer of course is NO!

Except for former guest on “Music Inner City TV” Queen Latifah, and a few others, African American ladies are not getting headlining roles in Hollywood. This is wrong.

Their are PLENTY of very talented black females that are being shut down by the powers that be in Hollywood. In their place are the ladies you see in the Vanity Fair cover and the ladies you see on the gossip programs every night on TV.

Thank god for Tyler Perry and Spike Lee and John Singleton for putting African American females out front in Hollywood movies.

Yo Vanity Fair, yo Hollywood, this is not the 1954 Hollywood. It is 2010. WAKE UP!!!!
