Ladies and gentlemen who would have thought at the start of the NFL season that our Seahawks would be the champions of the NFL!! Well we did it!! The Seahawks beat the New England and won the Lombardi Trophy winning 29-13 in Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The win was in a rematch of SB 49. Seahawks fans will not forget that game given if we tried. That game the Seahawks should have won but for some unknown to this day reason, Coach Pete Carroll called a pass play by QB and former guest on ?Music Inner City TV” Russell Wilson and not a run by Marshawn Lynch from the 2 yard line. NE player intercepted the ball and it was over.
Never will forget the look on former guest on “Sports Inner City TV” Richard Sherman’s face. He just could NOT understand the call by Carroll. No one could. But this time 11 years later, the Seahawks made sure that the team would win with it’s great defense and a offense led by QB Same Mcdonald and running back Kenneth Walker III and WR Jaxan Smith-Njigba. It is the second title for the Seahawks who won in 2013.
The defense led by Derick Hall, and Devon Witherspoon and others would not led NE QG Drake Maye do anything downfield. He was under constant pressure to get rid of the ball. The “Dark Side” defense did it’s job big time!! QB Sam Donals three for 135 yards. Not a great game but it was enough and RB Kenneth Walker III ran for 135 yards and was name MVP for the game. So happy for Walker, who is a quiet dude who let’s his play on the field talk for him.
Maye was sacked a whopping six times during the game. The NE O line did not do their job. I listened to WEEI in Boston and callers were blasting the O line of the Pats. They were going off big time. Fans were really upset. So the team come home and help a championship parade in downtown Seattle where up to one MILLION fans celebrated the Super Bowl win!! WOW WHAT A CROWD!! Fans of all ages and races were just HAPPY!! A day a person can put there problems to the side and enjoy what a winning team can do for a city.
The Mariners almost made it to the World Series a few months ago. Now the Seahawks put a smile back on sports fans faces in the Seattle/Tacoma area!! Hell EVERY WHERE IN THE NORTHWEST!! The Seattle Seahawks won the Lombardi Trophy!!!!!
