As a African American and a resident of Seattle I am glad they caught and killed the cat who killed the four police officers. And I am saying he did it too.<\/p>\n<p>My prayers go out to the families of the fallen police officers. I feel sorry for the children of the officers whose mom or dad is gone right here at holiday time. It is truly sad.<\/p>\n<p>Having said all this, this is a fact that is true and that is there is a tremendous mis-trust against the police by the African American community not just here in Seattle but in most major cities.<\/p>\n<p>We see time and time again police officers walk when they are involved in a killing of a African American here in our area and nationwide. This never leaves certain people&#8217;s minds. Heck every time I see a Seattle Police I think they are going to stop me for something every time I am driving. Most African American feel this way.<\/p>\n<p>With five police officers being killed in the last month in our area, and most likely by a African American, it is time for a public meeting so the police can understand the mis-trust African Americans have in the police.<\/p>\n<p>But again that is no reason for people to flat out murder police officers.
